Hello I am Catie Strigenz

Growing up in Wisconsin, U.S., I’ve always had a spirit of adventure. This spirit led me on all sorts of adventures, from working as a Registered Nurse in Chicago to travels all around the world.

I chased that spirit to Australia, and here I found a home. I also found the means to put my tapestry of skills towards a passion: Web Development. As huge of a leap as that may seem, the synergies between my healthcare experience and the litany of technical courses in coding that I’ve taken since making the leap to tech are what sets me apart; they differentiate me as a coder and highlight the breadth of capability I can bring to a project. Web Development requires out-of-the box thinking, a keen eye for detail, and a lot of patience. Luckily, nursing has provided me with just that.

I have academic experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Responsive Web Design and SEO, am undergoing education on React and Python, and ultimately want to accumulate the skills necessary to be an impactful developer. My goal is to eventually learn app and game development.

Technical ability to code exists everywhere; those who differentiate do so by offering something new. I offer my ability, my passion, as well as the spirit that led me here, and look forward to working on your next project.
